Update from the Superintendent

As the school year continues to progress, we are seeing excellent participation and effort on the part of our students. The staff is developing and refining strategies to deliver effective instruction in an online environment. The district has been fortunate to avoid the technical issues and equipment shortfalls suffered by our neighboring school districts. We also continue to offer meals, social work, and other supports to our families in need. (click picture for more info)

Food Service Update

At the board of education meeting on September 30, the board unanimously voted to stay in a virtual only mode. The reasons include a spike in cases in other districts, which has caused a number of districts to close buildings and quarantine large numbers of students and staff members. While we have plans in place to deal with these scenarios, we do not want to return students to an uncertain environment. The Extended Learning Plan (ECOL) will be reviewed at the November 4 board meeting and we welcome input from the community at that meeting.

We know that remaining in a virtual environment is difficult for our families, and we are anxious to see the students back in our classrooms. We remain committed to putting the health and safety of our students and their loved ones at the top of our priority list. Thank you for your continued support and patience. Please call me or your building office with any questions or if you need help in any way.  Contact information is listed below for all administrators.

Sincerely,
Peter Toal
